Library Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Library Mission:
Our mission is to help students develop a love of reading and develop the necessary skills to use information, ideas, and technology ethically, creatively, and critically in order to make intelligent decisions. We want our students to become life long learners. The Calvary Episcopal School library is a very important facility for the school. It serves students, teachers, staff, and parents. Students use the library for their reference, research, and recreational reading needs. Faculty and staff use includes curriculum development and support materials.
Technology Resources:
* 17 desktop computers runing Windows 7 and Office 2010
* Printer, scanner, copier, and microphones available.
* Internet access is available on all computers.
* Students have access to several online encyclopedias and library catalogs.
* Accelerated Reader is now an internet-based program with over 140,000 reading and vocabulary tests available.
Book Loan Guidelines:
Pre-K through First Grade: 1 book for a period of 1 week
Grades 2 – 12
:  2 books for a period of 2 weeks

- If a class is involved with a research project, the number of books allowed is increased.
- Patrons should return the books on time and in good condition.
- Fees are assessed for lost or damaged books.
- Patrons with overdue books or fines will lose their library privilege until the matter is rectified.
- Report cards will be held each marking period if student records are not cleared.
Donations:
The library staff welcomes monetary contributions and donations of books, videos, and materials that are in “gently used” condition and appropriate to the curriculum and values of the school. The librarian will decide whether the materials align with school policy and complement the current collection. The perfect way to donate to the library is to support our BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB which adds numerous new books to our library collection and also celebrates your child’s birthday.
Library Etiquette:
1. No food or drinks are allowed in the library.
2. Quiet, considerate behavior is appropriate.
3. The library is open only when a librarian or volunteer is present.
