Youth in Philanthropy -Distinguished Achievement Award |
Our second year participating in Fort Bend County Youth in Philanthropy, proved to be an awarding year for us in community service. We worked several projects in support of our non-profit organization, George Ranch Historical Park. Our projects earned the George Ranch a monetary grant and rewarded College Prep for their efforts. The students of CECP worked over 500 hours in their community as part of their service learning. It was an awarding experience had by all as we were given the Distinguished Achievement Award!
Our non-profit this year is George Ranch. CECP has already dedicated time to their Texian Market Days as well as plans for the Campfire Christmas. |

Leadership Training |
The students of Calvary Episcopal College Prep are trained in being our future leaders. Activities such as National Honor Society, PALS, Peer Mediation, Student Council, and Youth in Philanthropy are some groups the students participate, to name a few.
Calvary believes in promoting the "whole" student in life, academic, and social experiences. |

Field Trips- Etiquette Class, Museum, Theatre, Cultural Festivals, Etc. |
Due to the flexibility of the program, College Prep takes field trips to polish the cultural literacy of the student as well. We attend etiquette classes, trips to exhibits at the art museum, plays and musicals at the theater, and cultural festivals like the Renaissance Festival. Plans are in the works to take an Outward Bound group in the summer of 2008 and also a Mission trip to Juarez, Mexico during Spring Break 2008. |
